PLEASE JOIN THE GROWING NUMBER OF CONCERNED RESIDENTS AND SIGN THE PETITION
Please sign the petition being circulated for the purpose of enacting the 'San Geronimo Community Plan Preservation and Protection Act'. It’s an Initiative Measure preventing the County from spending tax dollars to change the primary golf course use of the San Geronimo Valley Golf Course (SGVGC) land without voter approval. It will take less than a minute to sign and support your local community plan!
Some highlights of the Initiative Measure
The San Geronimo Golf Course does not need to be 'restored' or 're-wilded' - doing so would only waste millions of taxpayer dollars.
The San Geronimo Community Plan (1997) states the golf course use should be retained with no major expansion of the facilities and that future uses should be limited to those which support the primary use as a golf course.
The San Geronimo Golf Course provides social opportunities for all age groups and is used by the community for charitable and community events.
The San Geronimo Golf Course provides golf at affordable prices and is a solid economic engine that generating fees and taxes for the County.
Considering the catastrophic wild fires of late, the San Geronimo Golf Course provides a critically important firebreak.
A use supporting both public recreation (golf) and enhanced salmon habitat is much cheaper, possible and preferable.
You don’t have to be a golfer to sign - all concerned citizens have the right to have their say.
